Ultra X sports a sleek snappy GUI along with other cool features. One of which is tmpclear, ever have issues with X0-lock errors? No longer a problem, tmp clear cleans all the packages up along with junk files and tmp files. This feature removes the X0-lock file before login. X0-lock errors can occur from drivers that did not install correctly. Ultra X is built off of UBUNTU and DEBIAN, this gives you more access to programs and different universes. Ultra X has a faster kernel with support for more than UBUNTU's stock kernel.<br /><br />Ultra X only supports GNOME out of the box, this doesnt mean you cant install KDE. We encourage end users to customize and tweak Ultra X for the better, please share your creations. But we are still Branding it and tweaking a few things so we get it right the first try. Yeah right there are always bugs. Ultra X is based off of the UBUNTU 8.04 build and is Debian based. Ultra X sports GNOME and KDE 4.0 X Windows. All of your favorite packages are included: WINE, Auto Script, Fire Fox, Thunder Bird, Python and so on and so on. Minor Kernel alterations and some unique things to love make Ultra X a Distro to love.
